8:30amManaging Multiple Instances of Linux under z/VM
By Phil Smith of Linuxcare
The concept "Linux on the mainframe" provides an excellent business case and is beginning to make headway in the enterprise, but it is tempered by different administrative challenges. Some of the challenges of running Linux on z/VM include network configuration, integration with existing process frameworks, managing user accounts across instances, change management, attempting to minimize DASD usage, and scheduling issues. In addition to discussing these challenges, this session will reflect on some potential solutions.
